Finally, wine lovers around the country can savor a wine that Northwest locals often describe as "quintessential Northwest."

One of the state's first premium wineries, Snoqualmie witnessed demand for Columbia Valley wines grow beyond available grape supply. Rather than compete with the larger wineries for grapes, Snoqualmie chose to work with its existing vineyards and limit its distribution primarily to the Northwest.

But as the call for Columbia Valley wines grew in the mid-1990s, Washington vineyard owners began planting in earnest. And with the new vineyards came new possibilities for Snoqualmie. National expansion began in 2000.

Today, a bottle of Snoqualmie can grace dinner tables from coast to coast as the winery finally enjoys national distribution.

DID YOU KNOW?
The average annual rainfall in our Columbia Valley vineyards is only 6-8 inches. This is but a fraction of the 25-35 inches in Napa Valley or 20-30 inches in Bordeaux, France, and a real advantage for us because it allows us to use irrigation to control vine vigor.
